I hate that people are taught that earnest displays of affection are acts of desperation. I hate that we are taught to be coy, to minimize, to make people guess how we feel. If keeping it cool requires deliberately avoiding how we feel, it’s no wonder so many adults are messed up.

To anyone feeling anxious: take a breath, things aren’t always as scary as they seem but it’s ok to be scared. Don’t ever let people make you feel bad or weird or stupid for feeling anxious about things.

To anyone with bad self esteem: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Everyone believes they have faults or imperfections but all they are are differences that make up the amazing variety of beauty that the human race has to offer.

And to everyone else out there who is feeling bad about themselves, their situation or their life: Life is what you make it. Embrace what you want and need and do it because life is too short to do things someone else’s way and ignore your own happiness. Breath deeply and remember that everything is going to be ok.
